How to read it
- Go for it
- In moderation
- Probably not
- Not enough data
- Healthy?
- The overall answer. Products with the Keyhole (Nyckelhålet) always count as healthy. Otherwise it's based on the Nutri-Score, taken from Open Food Facts or estimated from the nutrition facts with the 2023 formula: A–B green, C yellow, D–E red. Ultra-processed food moves one step down.
- FODMAP
- Fermentable carbs (fructans, lactose, excess fructose, polyols) that trigger IBS. Green: none found. Yellow: small amounts. Red: a main ingredient.
- Keto
- Net carbs per 100 g (green ≤ 5 g, yellow ≤ 12 g) plus sugar or starch high up the list.
- GI
- Estimated glycemic index from food type, sugars, fibre, fat and processing. Green ≤ 55, yellow 56–69, red ≥ 70.
- Processed
- NOVA group when Open Food Facts has it, otherwise additives and ultra-processing markers in the ingredient list.
Heuristics, not medical advice. Verdicts are estimated from label data and can be wrong, so always check the packaging.
